Severity of the symptoms of autism is a factor to contend with. It varies from individual to individual. Some may feel it makes the issue of autism detection more complex. Management yes, but detection no. There are core autism symptoms affected by severity but they are not really altered by it.

The very sad aspect of autism is that it comes with a dearth of empathy. Autistic patients will not feel for you in times of pain or anguish. They have problems understanding what you’re going through. It further isolates them from the social pool.

Don’t go wearing long faces because Junior is showing autistic symptom that are rather loud. One of such symptoms that can be upsetting is if he easily switches to a tantrum. If he gets to a fit at the slightest situation it can be very challenging. Matters are made worse if autistic kids of people you know are rather quiet.

Warmly hugging a child is every parent’s dream. Autism can cut that dream short or makes it an outright impossibility but this depends on the type of autism.. There are cases of autism where the young sufferer will resist cuddling.

A parent should always be concerned about their autistic child’s safety. Indeed some affected parents are luckier than others. There are autistic kids that tilt towards being self-destruct. Their expression of aggression manifests in injurious behavior. They could even bang their heads on a wall.

For autistic patients who can converse they show signs of inflexibility. Once you start a conversation with such then they trail off and would egg you on and on. It wouldn’t matter if you’ve beaten a retreat.

Autism patients have problems with perspectives. Maybe you want to share a joke or are indeed sharing a joke it wouldn’t make the difference it should to them. Whether it’s a joke or slang they’ll attach literal meaning to them.

Autism kids show limited interest in activities. If you have one in your hands as a teacher you may have some hard times in your hands. For instance bringing the kids to participate multi faceted activities you’ll notice a trend with the autistic kid. While others have moved on to another segment of the activity. They will be stuck in a world or there own observing one object or the other.

If not too strange to find them get “lost” in one. You may have found some older children or even adult autistic patients get so fixated to a train scheduler, license plates or weather patterns.
